On the 21st of April Helston Community College took off on a field trip to Loe Pool and RNAS Culdrose. This Year 9 trip was part of the PSHE (Personal, Social, Health and Economic Education) Healthy Living Project. The aim of the day was to encourage the 200 pupils to engage more often with their fantastic local environment.
One great way to engage with the local environment is through photography; so Loe Pool Forum set up a photo competition. We asked the students to snap something which represents the theme ‘Healthy Helston’. Many thanks to all the students for the entries and for sharing them using #loepool2016. Some truly inspiring shots!
The entries were voted on by 10 judges at the last Loe Pool Forum partner meeting, and we are now proud to announce the winners:
1st Place: Dylan Donaldson
2nd Place: Lucy W
3rd Place: Eve Roberts
Many thanks to the National Trust for funding the competition prize of a Stables Cafe voucher.

1st Place – Dylan Donaldson

2nd Place – Lucy W

3rd Place – Eve Roberts
