In December 2013 Geography students from University of Exeter were guided around Chyvarloe Farm bordering Loe Pool by Paul Parfitt (farmer), Jeremy Clitherow (HLS advisor for Chyvarloe farm) from Natural England, Dr Mike Leyshon and Timothy Walker from the University of Exeter. The students were studying how a sustainable farm works in contemporary Britain. In particular the role of Stewardships in reducing water pollution.
In reality though the students were far more fascinate by the world famous pigs Boris and Marge.
